Wonders of the Earth Day

Northern High School’s Green Team and Lorax Club partnered on March 30, 2023 to host their annual Wonders of the Earth Day.

Wonders of the Earth day is an opportunity presented to Sunderland Elementary School third graders, who are invited to Northern High School for a day of activities to learn about the environment. Multiple activities are led by members of the NHS Garden Club and Lorax Club. Leaders instruct the children on how to improve our environment and the impact of native species upon it. Some of the fun activities included: creating miniature gardens for students to take back to their classroom, planting pollinator flowers at NHS, making a mosaic out of used bottle caps, painting bird houses, face painting, learning about the food chain, reading The Lorax, by Dr. Seuss, and MORE! It was a very successful event and fun was had by all!
