Shoreline protection installed at Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum. These off shore brake waters have been installed to protect the shoreline and keep the valuable archaeological features in place.

These Contour Strips have been installed by the District to reduce water flow down the slope and thus reduce erosion of the farm field. These are an integeral part of farm planning

This moveable electric fence is installed as part a rotational grazing plan developed for a farm in St. Leonard. This practice can accommodate

 more animals per given unit of land.

 

This waste storage lagoon was installed as part of a feed lot practice. The liquid waste from confined animals is stored in this lagoon and is then spread on the fields as a fertilizer supplement.

Mr. Phillip Jones of Huntingtown is using the Districts 10ft No-till drill to plant a conservation cover crop. The No-till drill can be rented as the District's office.
